Skyberg’s career as an author and illustrator led her to visit schools as a guest author/artist. During this time she visited over 60 schools teaching art and writing workshops to over 15,000 children in primary and intermediate levels. In addition, she worked in over 20 schools on long-term residencies, collaborating with staff and students to create large-scale projects, and led a number of professional development sessions on arts integration for staff. She worked as the curator and manager of the Union Art Gallery at UWM, before transitioning into a career of writing and illustrating children’s books.
